Anal Itching? A Friend of mine is 22,a tad overweight and keeps in good general health.she is NOT pregnant nor never have and never has had hemroids either(and never has had sex either.)
Over the past month or so,she's had alot of Anal itching, and sometimes it would be end result of a tad bit of bleeding cause of the itching and it would get kind of raw/sore before/after a Bowl Movement..She has to keep taking Phenergyn(nausea meds)everyday to offset the upset stomach and she has a hard time sleeping.
Her mother told her she doesn't think she has pinworms(after doing reasearch)and her mom has had them before.
I'm hoping to help find a resolution to the question for her because this is the weekend and shes miserable, and most likely can't get into her doctor next week(and her medical insurance runs out may 5th)
if anyone might have any kind of answers would be great.
I am around to answer any q's to help with the answer needed...
Thanks. |
I can't diagnose what she has and she should have a doctor treat her, but here are some things the can provide some relief from the burning and itching this weekend .
Go to any drug store or walmart and get the medicated pads such a tucks or prep h brand. The generic brands are just as good and much cheaper. Make sure the main ingredient listed is Witch Hazel. It is very soothing when placed on the affected area. Can be used through out the day and after using the bathroom. The next item to buy is a tube of Nupercainal its a little pricey but it works better than any other topical ointment. If she uses the witch hazel pads and then applies the Nupercainal at night, she should be comfortable enough to sleep better. I hope this helps. |
What is the best relief for my anal itching? I don't understand why, but for the last several weeks I have had unbearable discomfort from anal itching. At FIRST it was after using the restroom. Now it aggravates me all day. I run around a lot in my work and it drives me crazy. Nothing has changed in regards to my bowel movements. I tried creams and Tucks but they aren't working. Any advice? |
Take a shower. Keep yourself clean.
Or maybe you have a hairy area there and have some sort of crabs. Hard to tell. |
Can a vaginal yeast infection spread to the anus or cause anal itching? I just recently got off of antibiotics for bronchitis, which I know have been known to cause yeast infections. Personally, I have never had one before but I have been experiencing a vaginal itch, along with discharge - classic signs of a yeast infection. My only concern is that I am having itching in my anal area as well. Is it possible that the yeast infection could have spread to my anus or that the irritation has spread to that area?
Thank you! |
| Yes, it can easily be spread if not treated. I'd contact your doctor. |
Is it okay to go to Planned Parenthood for anal itching? I've been having some anal itching for the past week & although I don't really think its an STD (I haven't had sex since last June) I'm not sure what it is. I had an appointment at Planned Parenthood for tomorrow anyway, so should I just get it checked while I'm there? Any trained medical doctor should know what to look for right? |
Do you shave your anus? Might be an odd question, but some people should.. and do. This could DEFINATLY be the cause of the itching.
Some people just scratch their ***. Usually, you see it in comedy films where a stoner loser is eating cheetos, scratching his butt and watching an episode of "COPS". Followed by a funny response.
If neither of those seem normal to you, get it checked out. |
What causes and treats anal itching? Starting the day before yesterday I began having a lot of anal itching. I think it's an allergic reaction to the type of lubricant I am using with my significant other. Does anyone know any home remedies for anal itching I have already tried baby diaper ointment and hemorrhoid cream? |
| The are some mild cortsione creams that can be used for babies with skin conditions. They should help your itchy butt hole too. Be careful with lubes, I've always found that good old KY is the best in the end. |
How do I cure hemorrhoids and anal itching? Disclaimer: Subject matter not for the queamish, might be best if only people with medical backgrounds look at and answer this.
When I go to the bathroom to have a bowel movement no matter how much time I spend wiping myself within an hour I feel this painful, itching and burning sensation in my anal area. So I rush back to the bathroom and wipe and it looks like I never wiped myself at all and sometimes there may be a small amount of blood. What can I do to stop this situation from occurring? |
| There is only one cure. Stop eating red meat (pork completely) for 15 to 20 days and you will forget all problems. It worked for me 100%. I know you will tell that's stupid but it's easier to say so than to try to stop eating. It's up to you, if you like to suffer go ahead. |
Anal itching? What causes this? PS - it's not 'roids. |
| dude.. try bathing !!!! |
How do I cure anal itching and soreness (redness)? I have anal itching and redness at times when I am working out or sweating. It never bothers any other time. It seems to be triggered by either my sweat or moisture. I take 2 showers a day so cleanliness isn't the issue. This is so comfortable and I have been battling this for months. My doctor suggests to keep washing but that's not the cure. |
This will seem like a gross thing to think about for some, but I have an answer for you. Yes, keep washing and keep moist towelettes on you whenever you go out. Also, though, consider changes in your diet and keeping a food journal. See if the itching and redness is worsened or less when you have been eating or drinking certain things. You might have a food allergy or two and yes, the stuff formed when inflammation occurs inside...such as infection...can be excreted in the sweat...or more definitely in defecation...and when you sweat, that would irritate an already inflamed spot on you since sweat contains salt and whatnot.
Take your journal to a doctor or mention the possibility of allergies to the doctor and get a referral to an allergist if you can. |
